Presentation Skills Workshop


About the Program: 

Stand out in the sponsorship marketing industry by improving your presentation skills with the Presentation Skills Workshop for SMCC members. This pilot program focuses on the following learning objectives:

  • Developing confidence in preparing, rehearsing and delivering presentations
  • Understand how to use your body and voice to create presence
  • Learn the art of persuasion and how to deliver a presentation or argument designed to sway the opinions of others
  • Learn the art of giving constructive feedback
  • Learn to tailor your message to different audiences and venues
  • An introduction to moderating

This is a hands-on workshop that requires that each participant be available to attend all 7 sessions of the pilot. An additional 1-2 hours per week of preparation time is required. Each session will give you an opportunity to hone your skills and get feedback in real time.

Important Information:

  • Offered one evening a week (Wednesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 PM ET) for 7 sessions 
  • The sessions will be held weekly from Wednesday, October 10th until Wednesday, November 21st 
  • The workshop will take place in Toronto (location TBA) 
  • There is limited space available; registration will be determined on a first-come, first-serve basis 
  • You must be able to attend all sessions to participate in the program 
  • Sessions will be run by a certified business coach
  • Sessions are designed to foster a supportive community of peers   
  • Participants must be open to both giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Participants must be willing to spend an additional 1 to 2 hours a week in planning and preparing for their weekly presentations  
  • The deadline to register is Friday, September 21st 

Cost for SMCC Members | $580 + HST


About the Coach:
Karen Wrighta Master Certified Coach, specializes in executive coaching, speaking and delivering presentation skills training. Karen is a published author and a regular columnist, has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and is currently studying the neuroscience behind positive coaching. Click here to review Karen's full bio.
